Autumn Spears
Autumn Spears is the Clinical Director at Evolve Youth Services. Specializing in grief & loss, trauma, family therapy and services for survivors of abuse, she has been counseling Humboldt County youth and their families for over 20 years. Autumn has worked in healthcare, domestic violence, and youth agencies in the area where the focus was on foster care and at-risk youth. She has also led multiple community trainings on traumatic grief, suicide, and self-care. The Lead Grief Counselor at Hospice of Humboldt for over a decade, Autumn developed the Circle of Care Youth Program to assist grieving children. Pivotal in the creation of a mental health program for local first-responders, her grief and trauma specialties are what have guided her to her current position with Evolve Youth Services.
Autumn is a trauma-informed, licensed marriage and family therapist who focuses on a client-centered, strength-based approach with an eclectic blend of cognitive behavioral, attachment theory, family systems, neurobiology of trauma, and sensorimotor psychotherapy.
She is a Nationally Certified Competency-based Wraparound Practitioner and a Level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
